The AT4 trim ($47,025) adds an exclusive Terrain drive mode, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a raised ground clearance for less conventional weekends.

The Denali trim ($52,925) completes the lineup with heated and ventilated seats, HD Surround Vision, and a panoramic roof as standard.

If you have two kids and a dog, the 2026 GMC Acadia is designed to make life easier. It is the most versatile model in the 2026 GMC 7-seat SUV lineup. All trims offer three rows, with up to 8 seats on the Elevation and 7 seats on the AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate.

The third row keeps 816 mm of legroom, which is enough for kids and even adults on shorter trips to be comfortable without feeling cramped.

The 2026 GMC Acadia retains 651 L of cargo space even with the third row in place. That number matters when you compare 7-seat SUVs. Having seven seats is one thing. Still having space for school bags, groceries, or sports gear when all seats are used is another. Fold both rear rows and capacity rises to 2,761 L.

Under the hood, a 2.5 L turbo engine develops 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing is 5,000 lb. (2,268 kg) with the trailering package.

On the safety side, GMC equips the 2026 GMC Acadia with more than 19 standard features, including automatic braking at intersections and Rear Pedestrian Alert. These are particularly relevant for a family vehicle that spends its days between school, grocery store, and sports facility parking lots.

The 2026 GMC Yukon starts to make sense when you want three true rows, more towing capacity, and more space, not simply two extra seats for occasional use. It is also a much larger vehicle than a 2026 GMC Acadia. Before moving up to a 2026 GMC Yukon, it is worth asking whether you really need that size every day.

Three powertrains are offered on the 2026 GMC Yukon. The 5.3 L V8 (355 horsepower) enables the maximum towing capacity, up to 8,400 lb. (3,810 kg). You can tow a camper or a boat without hesitation, depending on size.

The 2026 GMC Yukon XL carries over the same mechanics and equipment as the standard 2026 GMC Yukon, but with an extra 383 millimetres of length (5,720 mm total) and a wheelbase stretched to 3,404 millimetres. That difference directly translates into cargo room: space behind the third row climbs to 1,175 L compared with 722 L on the standard Yukon, and reaches 4,092 L with the 2nd and 3rd rows folded.

This added space also benefits the 3rd row, with 932 mm of legroom versus 886 mm in the standard 2026 GMC Yukon. Access and comfort are even better for kids and adults alike on longer drives.
